Since 2001 Sunflower Hostel Berlin has its doors open for guests from all over the world – an island of budget accommodation, independent and not a member of the International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF). Sunflower Hostel still follows the old school attitude of offering a bed in a central location and a multicultural, creative and colourful environment, where communication, cultural exchange and meeting other travelling guests is more important than a television in the room.
Located in Friedrichshain, neighboured by Prenzlauer Berg, Mitte and Kreuzberg, it offers the perfect starting point for your discovering activities in Berlin. All tourist sights are either in walking distance, as Karl-Marx-Allee, the East Side Gallery and Oberbaum Bridge, or can easily be reached by means of public transportation.
Friedrichshain itself is known for its great concentration and variety of culture, leisure- and nightlife. Numerous bars, cafés, theatres, restaurants and cheap eats, as well as legendary clubs as the “Berghain”, “Cassiopeia”, “Maria am Ostbahnhof”, “Watergate“, Matrix”, “Rosi’s” and many others are just around the corner.
Sunflower Hostel Berlin awaits you w/ a selection of different room types, that includes everything from big dorms w/ the maximum of 8 beds, over smaller dorms, double rooms and single rooms up to apartments w/ private bathroom and kitchen. Our reception operates 24/7, our own bar 23 hours a day. Apart from your bed, room or drink we offer breakfast until noon, internet access, laundry, bike rental, table-fussball plus more and hopefully a great stay in Berlin… Come along and figure it out yourself!
